Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about resizing images with our tool.

When you resize an image to less than half its size in a single step, the browser's canvas downsampling algorithm drops pixels aggressively, causing blurring and aliasing. Our tool splits large reductions into multiple 50% steps, each producing a much cleaner intermediate result. This technique is the same one used by professional image editors like Photoshop for "Bicubic Smoother" downsampling.
Fit (Contain) scales the image to fit entirely within the target dimensions, preserving aspect ratio — may have letterboxing. Fill (Cover) scales to cover the entire target area, cropping excess. Stretch distorts the image to exactly fill the target dimensions. Exact resizes to the precise width and height, cropping from center to match.
Yes! Select a social media preset (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok), then upload multiple images. Click "Resize All" to apply the same preset dimensions to every image in your queue. You can download them individually or use "Download All" to get them all at once.
DPI (Dots Per Inch) controls the print density metadata embedded in the output image. For web use, 72 DPI is standard. For screens and presentations, 150 DPI works well. For professional printing, 300 DPI is recommended. Note: DPI affects print size, not pixel dimensions — a 1080×1080 image at 300 DPI prints smaller than at 72 DPI.
Absolutely. All image processing happens entirely in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your images are never uploaded to any server. No data is collected, stored, or transmitted. When you close the tab, everything is gone — your privacy is guaranteed.
